A pharmacy does not sell one hero product. This chain's online store carries a wide catalogue of everyday items, from insect repellent and mould remover to rapid test kits, and most of them are bought the moment someone needs them rather than planned weeks ahead. The client wanted Meta to become a steady, profitable sales channel across that whole range, not a spike around a single bestseller, and chose us on Upwork specifically because we had already run paid social for pharmacies. The job was to build an account that could sell a broad, low-involvement catalogue at a strong return, and keep doing it month after month.
0
Built the account around the full funnel, with separate prospecting, mid-funnel and remarketing campaigns, each carrying its own creative angle: product benefits for cold audiences, UGC-style demos in the middle and real customer reviews for people who had already visited the store.
0
Ran Advantage+ Shopping and catalogue campaigns alongside the manual structure, so dynamic ads picked up shoppers who browsed products without buying and the long tail of the range got sold without a separate ad for every item.
0
Gave generic and everyday products their own sales campaigns, so low-price staples competed for budget on their own terms instead of being drowned out by the bestsellers.
0
Kept new creative coming without owning production: the client’s designers made the ads, we wrote the briefs and approved every asset before it went live, and ran two to three launches a month.
0
Optimized two to three times a week on Meta results checked against Shopify revenue, reported to the client weekly, and left proven campaigns running for months instead of rebuilding them, with the strongest staying live for most of the year.
"Pharmacy looks like an easy category until you try to advertise it: dozens of unrelated products, low prices, and customers who buy only when they need something right now. There was no single clever trick behind a 9.5 ROAS here. It came from a plain structure that we did not touch for a year: every funnel stage had its own message, catalogue campaigns carried the long tail, and nobody rebuilt a working campaign just because one week was soft."
Most accounts lose money not on weak ads but on constant restarts that throw campaigns back into the learning phase. Once a structure is profitable, the job is to keep feeding it fresh creative and move budgets, not to rebuild it. On this account the strongest campaigns stayed live for most of the year and kept returning well above target.
